Lean manufacturing, also known as lean manufacturing or zero-waste production, is a management model of Japanese origin that focuses on minimizing losses in manufacturing systems while maximizing the creation of value for the end customer.

To do this, it uses the minimum amount of resources, that is, those strictly necessary for growth.

Waste is improved quality and production time and cost are reduced.

Lean tools include continuous analysis processes called Kaizen events, Pull Production, Kanban and Pokayokes fail-safe elements and processes, with the philosophy of doing things well everything from the Gemba or value creation area.
